About Tastebuds
Stepping into Tastebuds is like visiting the Wenatchee version of “Cheers”. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’ll feel the hectic world outside disappear as you take in the delicious aromas, welcoming faces and relaxing atmosphere.
Our Jiffy Java customers wanted a place to sit, relax and enjoy their coffee. And as it turned out, one of our loyal customers owns the Mission Street Plaza, suggesting that it could be a great location for our second shop. We also decided we needed to add a service that would allow our customers to stay later than normal—so we added a wine list.
Our ultimate goal at Tastebuds is to pamper you with great wine and coffee in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. We are here to answer all of your questions, and to make your experience exceed all expectations.
About the Owners
As unique as a wine and coffee bar may be, it actually seems the most natural venture for Scott and Alisa to pioneer together when you take a minute to consider the Strutzel’s story.
Scott’s grandparents arrived in Monitor, WA in the 1900s and his family has been in the business of growing Washington fruit since. Alisa is also a local, growing up in Sunnyslope. She opened her first coffee shop, Jiffy Java Coffee Drive-thru, in Wenatchee in July of 2004, and has been waking her many loyal customers up with great coffee and a smile ever since.
Together, Scott and Alisa make a tasty combination. They have joined their passions for coffee and wine to create something that’s both cozy and sexy for all of Central Washington to enjoy: Welcome to Tastebuds Coffee and Wine.
Scott and Alisa reside in Monitor, WA, with their two beautiful daughters.
